Normally hidden high in the treetops of pine forests, the pine warbler is part of a family of birds named for their “warbling” trilling songs that twist and turn in many musical directions. Known to have a soft spot for cracked corn, the pine warbler will visit feeders if enticed with the right treats. Alas, this fellow may be disappointed that this colorful flint corn is still fully intact. However, this brief visit does allow us to admire this yellow beauty fully before it hops along in search of more promising food.
