We are taking a look back and celebrating the first anniversary of beautiful Bromberg’s couple, Sarah and Jacob Callahan!
Sarah and Jake were introduced by mutual friends during their sophomore year of high school and have been together ever since. After lots of ice cream dates during their high school years and facing new experiences together through college, graduate school, and beyond, Sarah never had a doubt in her mind that Jake was the one!
Jake popped the question during a getaway weekend to Lake Martin with Sarah’s family. Her suspicions were tipped off during lunch at Catherine’s Market, one of their favorite spots on the lake, when he nervously picked at his food. Back at the lakehouse, Sarah’s family set up a beautiful arrangement of flowers and pictures of the couple’s life together at the dock. Jake asked Sarah to be his forever with a beautiful yellow gold round solitaire engagement ring, and of course she said yes!
Sarah found her simply elegant wedding gown at Bella’s Bridal, and she added an exquisite hand-beaded imported belt to add some personalization. Her groom wore a classic Calvin Klein black tuxedo. Together, the traditional pair looked timeless on their wedding day!
The bridesmaids were dressed in long neutral Amsale dresses from Bella Bridemaids. Sarah picked out a few style options for the girls to choose from for a cohesive mix and match look! The groomsmen were a dashing group in black tuxedos.
While the bridesmaids were primped and pampered during hair and make-up, they wore cozy PJ Harlow pajamas gifted by the bride. The groomsmen were gifted with engraved rocks glasses from Bromberg’s along with a bottle of their favorite spirit and a cigar.
Jake gave his bride a study bible inscribed with her new last name, and Sarah gave him a personalized leather valey tray.
To honor both their families’ Scottish and Irish heritage, the Birmingham Bagpiper played the bridal processional.
Sarah and Jake created so many memories with their family and friends that day, but one of their most cherished moments a year later is when they were announced husband and wife. They remember looking out into the sanctuary at all the people that have loved and supported them throughout their lives and feeling so grateful.
For Sarah’s something old, she carried a family handkerchief around her bouquet, and she wore gorgeous Badgley Mischka shoes as her something new! Her veil was borrowed from a dear family friend whose daughter wore it on her own wedding day. With lace detail on the edges, the chapel length veil was perfect with Sarah’s dress. She incorporated something blue into her day with a ribbon of blue in her garter.
When we asked Sarah what were their most treasured wedding gifts they received, she responded, “Some of my most cherished wedding gifts are pieces of our fine china. I love being able to set a beautiful table and be reminded of the family and friends that celebrated us so well! Jake really loves Christmas, so he was most excited to receive our Christmas china. I’m sure we will be breaking it out Friday after Thanksgiving!”
Sarah and Jake registered for Pickard Ivory Signature Gold formal china, Juliska Puro Whitewash everyday china, Bernardaud Grenadiers Christmas china, Waterford Lismore Encore, Juliska Carine glassware, and Ricci Argentieri Ascot stainless steel flatware.
