The @Rolex Sea-Dweller is a technical watch designed for the pioneers of professional deep-sea diving. It is equipped with the helium escape valve, patented in 1967, that protects the watch during a diver’s decompression phase. Subsequently improved in close partnership with Comex (Compagnie Maritime d’Expertises) professionals, it is now waterproof to 4,000 feet. The Triplock winding crown – fitted with a triple waterproofness system and protected by a crown guard – screws down securely against the hermetic Oyster case, providing increased water resistance. The rotatable bezel is equipped with a 60-minute graduated Cerachrom insert in black ceramic, and the Chromalight display ensures legibility in dark underwater conditions. A legend among diving watches.
