In 2014 the original became the first automatic mechanical watch with a built-in mechanical altimeter.
Today, the replacement model is still the only watch of its kind. Only this one’s gone higher. The altimeter module has been upgraded so the watch will now read off altitude to either 19,700 feet or 6,000 metres (both have a conversion chart on the case back).
The case is made of the innovative carbon-fiber composite, and the movement has been upgraded to the Calibre 793 automatic, giving it a 56-hour power reserve.
