Jewelry Sizing Guide

Jewelry is the perfect way to compliment your look and add a finished, polished touch to any outfit. However, it’s important to make sure that your accessories fit properly in order for them to have the desired effect. Knowing your correct size is also important if you are ordering rings or bracelets online, since you will not have the advantage of trying them on before the purchase. Residents of Birmingham, AL and the surrounding areas are welcome to come to Bromberg’s for a fitting, or take advantage of the following tips:

1. Ring Size

It’s always best to measure your ring size at the end of the day, as that is when your fingers are typically the largest. Keep in mind that not all fingers are the same size; so don™t presume that a ring that fits on your left ring finger will also fit on your right. Determine your ring size by wrapping a piece of string around your finger, and then matching the length to a sizing guide.

2. Watch Size

There is no set guide for determining what watch size is right for you. Typically, women’s watches are 22mm-44mm, while men’s watches are 34mm-50mm. If you are buying a gift, and are unsure of what size to get, stick with the general “safe” sizes of 35mm-38mm for a woman, and 42mm-45mm for a man.

3. Necklace Length

It can be difficult to choose the right necklace length for your outfit. While style is a personal choice, the perfect necklace length typically falls between the base of the neck and the collarbone. To determine this, measure your neck and add two to four inches. This will insure a slightly loose, comfortable fit.

While this guide can help you make purchases online, nothing replaces the comfort and attention of shopping with an experienced jewelry salesman. Residents of Birmingham, AL are welcome to visit the showroom at Bromberg’s, get a fitting, and view our extensive collection of fine jewelry today.
